The upset : young contemporary art is a new book that is now available for loan from the Learning Centre.
"A fresh breed of contemporary artists is celebrating newfound international recognition in a surprising upset.
Feeding off today's popular culture, they draw influences from comic books, graffiti, street art and character design creating illustrious paintings with distinct artistic composition, employing classical techniques of a master.
The Upset reveals a rich collection of work by these burgeoning artists. In addition to striking visual work, the book features portraits of artists as well as in-depth interviews with selected artists who are creating outstanding cutting-edge contemporary fine art." -- back cover
