Wanted - Items for Display - World Intellectual Property Day

World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on Monday 26 April 2010, and this year’s theme is Linking the World. CIT is celebrating intellectual property in all its forms through a week of displays in the CIT Learning Centres. CIT teachers and students develop a wide variety of intellectual property in their courses. CIT is celebrating the diverse types of intellectual property and linking the variety through the displays.

The week of celebrations will commence on Tuesday 27 April 2010 and showcase the amazing intellectual property (IP) created here at CIT.

How can you help? We are looking for a range of IP objects to display at each campus Learning Centre. We plan to showcase all of the different types of IP listed below:

· Patents;
· Trademarks;
· Designs;
· Copyright;
· Circuit layout rights; and
· Plant breeder's rights.

Examples of types of IP objects we could display include: photographs, documents, inventions, artworks, computer software and games, different plants, fashion garments, furniture, metal work design, spray painted panels, computer chips, business plans, graphic design works, new recipes, logos, music or videos. IP covers a diverse range of materials, so if you are unsure contact us.

Every Centre will have objects that are suitable to display and we would like to hear from you to ensure we have a diverse range of CIT’s creativity.

If you would like to display any of your work please see me in the Learning Centre or email me at peta.kemmis@cit.act.edu.au
